Oscar Alejandro is a veteran of the United States Navy who has chosen to extend his commitment to his country by advocating at the municipal level. Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, Alejandro's career has given him the opportunity to experience how different cities around our country are run, including Pensacola, Florida; San Diego, California; and Virginia Beach, Virginia. Throughout his military service, where he gained experience supervising and managing others, Alejandro also contributed his time to advocate for and support members of his community.
Having completed his military career, Alejandro has settled in the city he considers his home, Miami.
Alejandro is determined to be a strong advocate for the residents of District 3, ensuring their voices are not just heard but amplified. He will tackle the most pressing issues facing his constituents, including the skyrocketing housing costs that have forced many out of neighborhoods they cherish. Alejandro is committed to upholding the dignity and respect of workers, staunchly protecting them against harassment, wage theft, and retaliation for unionizing. He will strongly advocate for transforming public transit, making it more accessible for everyone, and will confront the urgent challenge of climate change head-on. Additionally, Alejandro will firmly oppose any attempts to divide our community and dismantle our rights and freedoms. He is dedicated to building a more inclusive and compassionate culture that fosters economic growth and empowers all individuals to engage meaningfully in our democracy.
The next 6 months' journey as Oscar continues to build out his campaign for Miami City Commissioner, the networks, advisory team, volunteers, fundraising and more will be a lot of hard work and we hope that every one of you will contribute and support Oscar in every way you can.
But one of the first steps in this journey is endorsements. And this particular endorsement is both unusual and special in that this endorsement requires a public oath.
On May 17 at 1pm EST, Oscar Alejandro will swear the oath of the Politician's Creed binding him as both protector of and servant to the people of his district. We urge you to read the Politician's Creed to understand both it and the commitment that Oscar is making.
Attendant in addition to Oscar Alejandro will be members of his advisory board along with representatives of The Oath of Office.
15 seats are set aside for the public to bear witness to the Oath Ceremony. If you would like to attend, please reserve your seat below.
This event will take place virtually via a Zoom session and will last just under 10 minutes. All seat holders will receive the Zoom meeting credentials in the hours running up to the event.
Administration of the Oath to the Politician's Creed is performed by The Oath Of Office Inc, a 501(c)(4) non-profit registered in the state of Texas.
The Oath Of Office manages the endorsements process which awards the Politician's Creed badge to any candidate who has made it through the vetting process. The badge is protected by law and may not be copied, displayed, or utilized in any fashion on behalf of any persons who are not at the time endorsed by The Oath Of Office Inc.
Candidates and politicians who have made it through the vetting process and sworn the Oath of the Politician's Creed receive ongoing support from The Oath Of Office and our partners in support of the candidate's adherence to the creed and commitment to their constituents.
