Steven Shook is a critical care nurse practitioner, lifelong North Texan, and Democratic candidate for Congress in Texas’s 26th Congressional District. Born and raised in North Texas and coming from a family of healthcare professionals, Steven has spent nearly two decades caring for patients and seeing firsthand how broken systems affect working families. He is running for Congress to put people over politics, lower healthcare and prescription drug costs, protect public education, defend individual rights, and bring practical, accountable leadership back to Washington. Steven believes North Texans deserve a representative who listens, shows up, and fights for families instead of special interests.

On June 12th, 2026 at 9:00 AM CT Steven Shook will swear the oath of the Politician's Creed committing him by the 7 Articles of the Creed to the people of his district.  We urge you to read the Politician's Creed to understand both it and the commitment that Steven is making.

Attendant in addition to Steven Shook will be members of his advisory board along with representatives of The Oath of Office.

This event will take place virtually via a Zoom session and will last just under 10 minutes.  All seat holders will receive the Zoom meeting credentials in the hours running up to the event.

Administration of the Oath to the Politician's Creed is performed by The Oath Of Office Inc, a 501(c)(4) non-profit registered in the state of Texas.

The Oath Of Office manages the endorsements process which awards the Politician's Creed badge to any candidate who has made it through the vetting process.  The badge is protected by law and may not be copied, displayed, or utilized in any fashion on behalf of any persons who are not at the time endorsed by The Oath Of Office Inc.

Candidates and politicians who have made it through the vetting process and sworn the Oath of the Politician's Creed receive ongoing support from The Oath Of Office and our partners in support of the candidate's adherence to the creed and commitment to their constituents.
